Taking the city by storm, this Miami native, repping Chicago, has been seizing the day and nightlife with ease. In a short period of time ABAE has been maneuvering her way through to the limelight, as if by divine providence. Since the start of her short journey as a DJ and producer, in just a couple of years she has managed to gain a respectable reputation. This allowing her easy access to the stages of some of Chicago’s most well known venues, festivals and promoter brands, like Spybar, North Coast, and Rituals respectively.

With style and grace, she arrives in Chicago and has been met with welcoming arms and blessings in all directions! Coming through with a goal to spread love on the dance floor and become one of the greatest dance music artists to do so, with the healing powers of house music! Quickly fulfilling that dream inch by inch, day by day, with a laser like focus. As if she is taking a page from the Blues Brothers playbook, she is on a mission from God. As evident in her alias ABAE, an acronym meaning “Abba Before Anything Else”, if you know you know, and it seems he has laid out a path for her! Picking the best place to start, the mecca and birthplace of house music, sweet home Chicago! Connecting with fellow house music lovers and shufflers, she quickly got to linking up and networking with the right people to help her along her path.
Not before long, ABAE got the attention of well known local promoter brands such as What’s Good Chicago, The Get Down Chicago and the notorious EDM Chicago, and the dominoes began to fall! Soon enough after, she is performing for other brands from the likes of WAMI Live, Farris Wheel Recording, Auris Presents, Redline, Rituals and House Calls, to name a few. Even we, here at Ever Evolved, had the blessing to host this talented gem. And Just like that, ABAE has a résumé filled with performances in notable spaces and venues like LORE, Spybar, Smoke & Mirrors, The Pony Inn, Penny Whistle Tavern, Never Have I Ever, The Point and even Domicile back at the mother land in Miami. Easily captivating nightlife patrons, she takes it a step further with day parties on Summer of George yacht cruises, Lake Michigan beach parties, and even a pop up at Drink Happy Thoughts coffee shop. With this history, ABAE aquires residencies at Cerise rooftop and Celeste in the Loop and River North, respectively, without a problem. Talk about a marathon of divine intervention!
A promising start to her journey in music, leading by example in showing us what being a disciplined go-getter, with an eye for opportunity, an ear for good music, a radiant positive attitude, and unshakable self confidence and belief in faith, can accomplish. Gaining so much ground, with just her ability as a DJ. For most it would take years longer to reach such notoriety without utilizing any production skill. ABAE managed to achieve these feats with just 2 orignals in her arsenal, in which she humbly sprinkles into her live freestyle sets every so often, where ever it may work as she reads the crowd.
True to her alias, ABAE’s debut single pays tribute to the most high, in her signature hard groove style. Titled Separated, we are welcomed to a rhythmic beat and hi-hat combo that leads us into a vocal sample of a sermon given by pastor Jerry Flowers of Time of Celebrations Ministries Church in Houston, TX. “Before God ever next levels you, he separates you… Anytime God separates you is because I want to give you the tools necessary for your destiny.” Giving you a double dose of inspiration in an energetic beat, and an enlightening speech on the dance floor! A couple of seasons apart, ABAE follows up with Get Freed, giving you the same euphoric energy on the dancefloor, with emphasis on music over vocal samples.
As ABAE plans her next moves for the stage and original production releases, she gifts her audience with mini mixes, each a month apart, in the meantime. Altogether with her originals, you get an idea of the talent and energy that brought her this far in such a short period of time, if you have not yet seen her perform live. For all that is missing from reading and listening is experiencing her captivating, attentive spirit in the flesh.
