Skrillex Gets A Remix Treatment From Able Grey

One of Chicago’s multi talented artists, Able Grey stands out with his sound as well as his stage presence. Releasing music for a little over 7 years, he gets your attention with a unique blend off future bass, house and trance. A typical performance will be operated with a mix of midi controllers, drum pads and CDJ’s when he is out performaing at spots like Radius, Concord Music Hall or event festivals like North Coast.

Set with plans to hit new venues outside the city, Able Grey is getting the gears turning this year. Luckily for his live audiences, he is coming in prepared with some fresh work. Able thrives on making remixes and he got a few hot ones ready just in time for  summer playlists. Kentucky and Detroit on the schedule with Chicago local Hip Hop icon Probcause, and Able is locked and loaded for a memorable performance!

Following up on his EP The Eternal Cycle, released last summer, Maddy O’Neal gets the remix treatment on her track Make You Feel, where as she focused more on the low end and bass, where as Able Grey put more emphasis on synths and vocals. A nice contrast for a switch up in in a live DJ set. Most recently Able took remixing Skrillex, just as the dubstep icon is making noise again for his latest album release. Whether planed or coincidence it was good timing to bring back a classic! Make It Bun Dem, a more raggae inspired beat, gets the two for one treatment; a DnB and dubstep remix. The dubstep remix is argueably getting the upper hand in this release, as Able did the opposite of his Maddy remix, and focused on the low end, giving it some extra grit, doing some real justice for the original release.
