Schenay’s See Me Music Video Release
A productive, multitasking artist, Schenay is a singer, songwriter and producer in Chicago. She has been involved with music for about a decade and still going strong. With a handful of songs and a couple of EP’s by her side, Schenay seems quite particular and intentional with her music. In no rush or need for a large body of work to keep your attention, her music is potent and ever lasting. In tune and in her lane as a soulful, jazzy, R&B artist, one can only suspect the best of her is yet to come.
“Do you really see me, for me.”
– Schenay
Making it an event when she drops a new project, Schenay graces her fans with audio and visual glory! Dropping a new song and pairing it with a music video, the tune is short and sweet, yet it deeply catches the eyes and ears. Adding director to her resume for this video, Loona Dae assists in the project working the lens. See Me would appear to be Schenays second music video release, following up on her hit single titled Fall. The video follows Schenay through the streets of Chicago, as she and her girls enjoy a night out under the city lights. The music itself is sultry and and pairs perfectly with her voice as well as the video.

Entering dimly lit bars and lounges, Schenay gets attention wherever she goes. See Me highlights a relatable scenario for many beautiful women, as onlookers lust after them with shallow eyes and intentions. Her lyrics emphasize her feelings with these interactions as she sings, “I see you looking at my body, you dont even see me… Do you really see me, for me.” Simple yet powerful words, as she seeks deeper connections rather than superficial interactions. The video even perfectly ends with a behind the scene example; someone hollers at her, as she dances and strolls along the sidewalk, followed closely by her videographer. Life does often tend to imitate the art.
