Nova The King Is Rookie Of The Year With Zion

A multi faceted artist, Nova The King contributes a great deal to Chicago’s Hip Hop underground. Outside of his own creative output, Nova highlights other artists in the industry and his network, providing a platform for others to share and express their creativity and talents. Doubling as an artist and a promoter, he not only focuses on his own music, but others as well. Organizing events like Underground Sound in the city for musicians and fans alike. Working on his craft for about a decade, his commitment to the game earns him some notoriety. With over two dozen singles and a few EPs, he got the work to back up his status.

Nova The King is back again with another release of the year. Following up on his hit single Up & Away dropped in March, we are presented with his second track of 2024 to top off the summer! Working on curating and hosting events like Underground Sound consistently, Nova keeps up appearances in the city regularly. At his own pace with his work, he balances out access to himself and his creativity. You cannot give all of yourself to everyone all at once! Keepin his fans on their toes for the next release, it just hits that much better when he drops!

His latest track hits us at the peak of season, having us coast into the late night parties with a vibe after bumpin this on the speakers! Titled Zion, Nova The Kings energy is contagious as he hits the mic. Right out the gate, his first verse pops in with confidence. “Rookie of the year, feel like I’m Zion, I’m the one everybody always kept they eye on. When you poppin you the one that they rely on.” Which can be in reference to Zion Williamson, the power forward of the New Orleans Pelicans, for all the basketball fans. For a short and down tempo beat, it his heavy with the bass, lyrics and the energy! Nova’s gentle vocals only disarms you before he smacks you with “Everything I do is always for that cream, never step inbetween me and my dream.” So you better listen and peep game!
