No Guts No Glory On The Mic. Rhymster & Pradateek Drop Claymation Lyric Video

Between Rhymster & Pradateek there is about 15 plus years of hip hop experience in production and lyricism. A well known workaholic in Chicago when it comes to his own craft. Rhymster perfected his lyrical ability with freestyles, from the trap house, to the stage at Subterranean 606 Tuesdays. Finding creative outlets and artists to work with to constantly challenge himself and push his abilities to the edge! Pradateek droppin tracks as far as 6 years back, he keeps his work lowkey until the perfect time to strike. Following a debut LP release this year, he joins forces with Rhymster for a few collaborative ideas.

“Ya’ll stagnant without a dollar in funding.”

-Rhymster

This year sees multiple releases by Rhymster as if he is trying to break a record. Collaborating with local artists like Chops Diggity, Lazzey B. Floe, NinoJackCity and Cruz Ocho. Most recently Pradateek and Rhymster have teamed up and on more than one occasion. The two have released a few tracks together, with their latest drop being a music video of their summer single titled No Guts, No Glory. This track follows up on their single collaborations Jokic & Murray and Flagrant. Letting that beat breathe for the season, it got such good reception that they decided to double up.

The two linked up with Goopy Clay Hands for a unique idea for a hip hop music video. You do not see this kind of creativity in hip hop often, but as the title of the song says, no guts, no glory. Got to be willing to push boundaries to stand out from the rest. Rhymster and Pradateek decided the typical rugged street centered attitude can take a backseat for this visual project, and leaned into local creative talent in Goopy Clay Hands. Dishing out a stop motion claymation lyric video to emphasize their lyrics as the visual art connects the two, combining claymation with background visuals to paint the bigger picture.

The message is as real as the title puts it, exemplified through their lyrics. Pradateek lays it out from the start, “I’m steady on the move, & yea I’m cautious. I know that they watching.” He continues “Talk the talk, yea I’m just being honest. And if you don’t got it just stop it.” Relaying just that; moving with intention will get peoples attention. An energy that cannot be faked. The results will show.

In comes Rhymster with more wisdom in his lyrics. Out of the fire, one line sticks out amongst the many in his verses. In this verse in particular, “Gentlemen like a duke from london, ya’ll stagnant without a dollar in funding, madlit overseas at the function.” There in lies between the lines, a harsh reality for many artists. If you cannot run game, if you cannot carry yourself without a dollar to your name, then you have no real foundation. Rhymster’s lyrical talent is not just boastful for no reason, it carries lessons learned through trial and error. No Guts, No Glory is more than a song, see it as a guide to prestige.
