Building upon his catalog, Mic Fort releases a new track late October. Following up on his two singles and EP titled V, this new release shows more cross genre vocals and production. Diving deeper into his R&B aura, Mic drops his latest hit single Toxic (304 Shit). This would compliment his earlier releases, like ‘Down or Not’ from his ‘V’ EP, and Lived Twice with Analicia Lisette. This new single explores the concept of infidelity between two secret lovers, irresistable and passionate. A situation many can find themselves in, lured by temptation!
Mic Fort does a good job in creating a playful song to sing along to from the start. Giving us the chorus and not mincing words at all! “I be on my hoe shit, you be on your hoe shit. When we get together baby you know its some hoe shit, situationships…” A romance with lust unfolds!
He laces his vocals with hip hop lyricism between more harmonic hooks and chorus. “This aint what you want, but this is what you need, you love the way you feel, believe me it aint real.” He describes conflicting decisions and emotions, with a deeper underlying lesson buried in between the lines! “We gotta stay Focused.” The production emphasizes the energy with feminine vocal samples and melodic rhythm, a great combination leaving you nodding your head to the beat, or even getting toxic on the dance floor!
