Having worked with artists like Haywyre, Probcause, Psalm One, Exmag, Russ Liquid, Protohype, and more, rocking festival stages around the US, Manic Focus is a resepcted name in Chicago for a reason.

“Got Me Moving Like No Other”

– Manic Focus – Like No Other

Manic Focus got his name in cement with some of the funkiest, electro beats in the midwest. Taking a Denver style bass, influenced by psychadelic jam bands, and molding his own type of style with it. Giving his electro basslines a reggae, hip hop, dnb, dubstep cross over. Jmac crossed genre barriers from the start, and he continues to do so. There is still more Manic Focus to be discovered!

With the release of latest album Feeling Bright, you can hear difference from his earlier work. JmaC’s production is much more clean and crisp, letting his beats breath. Feeling Bright also takes a different direction in style and genre as well. Manic Focus puts the electro funk bass and hip hop to the side and explores house music. Putting is own twist on Chicago house, bass, deep house and disco.

Listening to the previous LP, Lost In A Digital World, you can hear that JmaC has been experimenting with different sounds and styles following his Minds Rising LP. Digital World saw more trap-bass, electro and dance energy, almost as if it was a segway into Feeling Bright. Coming out with some of his best work and collaborating with some talented artists, it seems Manic Focus is just scratching the surface of his musical potential.

Manic Focus starts off Feeling Bright with Check This Feeling, a smooth, humble start, with a progressive house beat. All The Things You Do gets a little bit more energy, both still uplifting songs to drift you into a little shuffle. Feelin’ Just Right hits the vibe right in the title, as Manic Focus eased you into dance music like a master! Like No Other is a impressive beat, fusing Disco, Chicago house with a funky Manic vibe, that will have you movin your whole body! Top Down is just as energetic, more purer to the genre origins, with a touch of a JmaC formula, with vocal soundbytes and a wicked groove.

Just halfway into Feeling Bright and it has been nothing short of perfection. A groovin’ addition to any house music playlist. Also an eye opener for the limitless for JmaC’s creative limitless. There will no doubt be a next level of experience at Manic Focus shows with this production. Cannot wait to hear what the man has up his sleeve next!
