The house music community was in awe as this duo announced and their partnership. The Canadian and Chicago born artists, Deadmau5 and Kaskade, officially team up more than a decade after giving the world some of the best house collaborations to hit the dance floor. Move For Me & I Remember, released in 2008, unlocked potential that is just beginning to be explored, and highly anticipated by so many fans. After a teaser, Beneath With Me in 2016, Kaskade and Deadmau5 officially partner up with the release of Escape, followed up by Take Me High.

The iconic duo still fresh off their 2nd release as Kx5 called Take Me High, are keeping it moving. They two just released their third collaborative single, this time inviting a band to add in their creativity. An interesting collision of genres, Alternative Rock music artists The Moth & The Flame leave their print with some vocals and a breakdown, down the middle of a house music beat. A beautiful marriage as TMTF set the tone with the lyrics singing, “I was the anchor when you needed ground. I wanted to hold you without holding you down.“
The beat itself is energetic, though the Moth & The Flame did a great job creating an orchestral and ambient atmosphere. Balanced with the operatic sounds and melodies laced in the beat. Leading into the chorus that has great sing along potential, providing a nice release of energy before the beat comes knocking in. The horn accompanying the bass is just hypnotizing, and you know you are already thanking Kaskade and Deadmau5 for blessing your ears with another masterpiece. The Moth & The Flame breakdown and chorus is just the cherry on top, you just cannot go wrong with this much talent in the studio.
