“I work hard and I deserve it all.”
– Cruz Ocho
Any good artist has a piece of work that is never finished in their eyes. As the audiences are satisfied in their perception and interpretation of the supposedly finished product, they may be hit with a new spin that gives new light to the art. Then a new love for that piece is born, leaving a bigger imprint that gives it a lasting impression in the mind and in time. It may even shine a light to an old gem for a first time listener that is caught up in what is new. Such is clear with Cruz Ocho’s latest music video release! Dropped back in 2023, Streams and Views is an undeniable force, released in a different time but still gettin shine! Ocho says it succinctly in the chorus “This is everything to me, what’s it worth to you?“

Cruz puts a new spin on an oldie but goodie, creating visual art to add to the audio, in a beautiful setting of an architectural masterpiece, in front of what looks like a church. Paying homage to Van Gogh, as mentioned in his lyrics and title track, with a visual reference to the artists missing ear, and even some paint spilling over his head. “Flows and images the Van Gogh of lyricists.” The word play and lyrics in this song is truly an art to discover. Every bar has some power in between the lines, “This is dedicated hours and thought, Go ahead and take it in this is audio art!” Nuff said.
